The drip chamber assembly machine can auto-assemble the plastic spike, protective cap, water stop membrane, air inlet plug, drip chamber, and fluid filter together.

After assembling the spike with the cap, the photoelectric switch is used to check if the spike is provided with the cap.

The assembly of the water stop membrane to the air inlet plug follows, using the photoelectric switch to check if the membrane has been assembled. After checking that the water stop membrane has been glued to the air inlet plug, the new structure is assembled to the spike’s air inlet. Technicians test and ensure that the air inlet is not blocked. Defective products or parts are discarded.

The spikes without defects are then assembled and glued to the drip chambers. After checking that the drip chamber has been provided with a fluid filter and that the fluid filter has been rightly positioned, blowing the dust in the assembled drip chamber follows. After blowing the dust and gluing, the drip chambers without defects are delivered to the assembly line, where the correct assembly of the drip chambers to the spike needles is tested.
